Think it. Plan it. Make it Happen.
I help cities, organisations and governments create and deliver cultural spaces and programmes that work.
Hi, I'm Lucy. I operate at the intersection of creativity, strategy, and delivery.
I'm a strategic consultant, programme curator and project manager with 20 years of experience in the cultural, educational and industry sectors.I enable governments, organisations, institutions and developers to build creative places and programmes, by turning artistic goals and operational needs into clear plans. I specialise in providing research and also in leading teams to deliver infrastructure spaces, events and programmes that showcase the arts, creativity and innovation.
What I can do for you
I bridge the gap between vision and operations, to help you realise well-run spaces and engaging programmes that make places come alive.
By getting the planning right and the roll-out smooth from day one, I save you time and money across your project. In projects with a lot of stakeholders I work in the middle ground: keeping everyone moving together in the right direction. On infrastructure projects of all shapes and sizes I work in partnership with architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-value, multi-sector projects. I advise ministries, cultural organisations and developers on how to shape environments that spark inspiration, learning, creativity, and community impact.

Managing the creation of a members-based innovation workshop and makerspace
Planning and running a fellowship course for aspiring furniture makers
Presenting a series of multi-city screenings as part of an EU Cultural programme
I have a decade of experience being part of multi-national teams spread out across the globe. I can work with you remotely or onsite as required.I bring a global view and a can-do attitude to see the big picture, while focusing in on the details. I value bold ideas - but can bring a practical perspective to help break down a grand vision into actionable steps along the way.You dream big and I'll take care of the details.

What problems can I solve?
Capital projects run aground and cost more time and money when great vision and ideas lack the data and specialist knowledge they need to progress. Or when a project is missing a key person with the oversight to keep a wide range of stakeholders moving everything forward in the right direction.
Before your capital project gets underway, I identify the data points that will be necessary to underpin your decision making. This helps to get ahead of the questions that will need to be asked, avoiding hurdles that will save time and money over the delivery of your project.Once key planning is aligned, I ensure you keep the momentum going and get your project underway right away.Over the past two decades, I have seen many clients with vision and ideas who became stuck along the way. I have learned a lot from the projects I have worked on about how to get things moving again, and overseeing projects so they land smoothly in real life.I translate your strategic intent into spatial outcomes by aligning business models with artistic ambition, guiding stakeholders through complex capital developments and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.I act as the linchpin, orchestrating everything from finding the right service suppliers to ensuring connection and communication between all team members to deliver the project on track.
I work with all relevant partners and stakeholders - architects, engineers, specialists, artists, audiences, students, end users - to make sure planning is aligned and working in harmony towards project objectives.

What problems can I solve?
You need help to connect the dots between creative programming, space utilisation, audience planning and business modelling to meet the future ambitions of your organisation.
How can I help?
Once research is complete, I assess the evidence and shape how your space will work best. What will take place there, who will it cater to, how will it be staffed? What programming will it present, how many people will pass through its doors? What revenue does it need to generate? And critically: what factors need to be established now to inform decision-making and bring your project to the next phase of development?I gather and assess all information that is needed and create a range of documentation to clarify your ideas and set out goals. Whether that's clearly written comparison studies, or simply the facts and figures you need at your fingertips, I present you with the information that is truly useful.

About Me
Originally from Cork, Ireland I have lived and worked in many exciting places around the world including New York, Berlin, London, Edinburgh, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, Beijing and Tokyo. I hold a Masters in Arts Policy & Practice from NUI Galway and a BA from University College Cork. These days I’m located between the Eastern seaboards of vibrant Dublin and sunny Valencia.Outside of work, I’m a culture vulture and a nature seeker, constantly balancing the draws of city living (an avid theatre goer, live music follower, film fan, art lover, bookworm and festival attendee) with the call of a good hill walk or sea swim.I love to live in a multi-cultural world, discovering the sights and sounds that make people different – and exactly the same! My work allows me to shape the places and happenings where we can celebrate bringing people together to create, explore, learn and be inspired.
